Hi,
We recently brought a 1890 end terrace. There is a leak running down the inside of the party wall that extrudes from the pitched roof. i believe the concrete joint/flashing between the party wall and the artificial slates (I am no expert on roofing materials, sorry) is the cause of the problem.
i can clearly see water has been running down the inside of the wall in the loft for some time due to the water marks and staining/deposits.
Can you advise on how to fix this, I have spoken to one roofer who said the only way is too felt from on top of the party wall down and overlap the adjoining tiles, are there any other options that would provide a long term fix?
many thanks, Ben.
