thks for your reply, now i know where i stand, knee deep in water probably.as far as im aware then i need to isolate boiler put towels and buckets in place close both valves. do i need a nut for t.r.v to keep pin down in case room gets cool and valve opens. drain rad. close all other rads so only draining central heating pipes. drain down partially or completely? before this turn off service valve to f and e. fit t.r.v, open all rads inc this one, turn on boiler, bleed rad, and check for leaks. your advice is much appreciated
