Leaking Towel Rail Valves

[The Procrastinator]

We’ve had a Towel Radiator running fine for 10 years. Both valves suddenly leaking from the same place, where the copper C-clip is.

Can someone tell me what type of Valve is this?
Do I need to replace them or can they be fixed?

OK, I didn’t think I’d have to replace the whole things. Would I not just replace the Brass bits?

I was hoping to do this without draining down.

Drain it down, new inhibitor and a couple of new valves. Fill, bleed and test!

1/4 turn valves have shown that they are a terrible idea in CH - they leak just looking at them. I've lost count of how many of them I've had to replace. I'd really really recommend you replace them for proper screw down rad valves.
