Hi
Can anyone help - came home to find the Barlo TRV was leaking around the plastic gland surrounding the metalwork on the valve.
Isolated the radiator at both ends - the leaky valve need a further partial turn when it showed it was closed, then I opened the bleed valve which showed the leak had stopped.
Radiator system in very old (23 years) but well maintained and I have only added a new radiator and changed the boiler over the years. Not afraid to drain and fit but have two questions before descending on the local plumbing store:
1) Can the TRV be adjusted by removing the cap turning the internal valve down a bit and reconnecting?
2) Is this likely to be the first of a series of failures and should I look to replace all TRV's in the system?
Thanks in advance.
