I've discovered (by chance fortunately) that the waste from our en-suite sink is leaking from the elbow joint that connects it to the stack that it connects into.
Not sure if this has been leaking for a while as there have been unusual dripping noises for a while why the sink has been draining, though I did fit new taps last weeked, and temporarily disconnected the trap to fit a new basin waste (which I didn't end up doing as I ran out of time) so just put back together as it was - so this could equally have disturbed it.
The pipes are all concealed, which will make access difficult, though I can just about reach down to the elbow joint where the leak is.
I didn't want to touch anything without asking on here first, but is there anything I can try either pushing together, or screwing tighter to try to resolve this?
Any other advice?
Pics below should give more details:
Leak comes from elbow of brown waste pipe at bottom (not sure if from the joint with the vertical pipe, or the joint to the boss). You can see the soaking wood underneath too.
