I have an old Georgian terraced house which has a shared supply (shared with one next door neighbour and the upstairs flat three doors down!) The supply comes in through my neighbours house via a 15mm copper pipe. I am experiencing a lot of leaks in the kithen due to copper joints corrosion. As soon as I fix one another on goes a month or so later.

We are all trying to get our own seperate supplys in the street.

Is there anything I can do in the meantime?

Thanks

Use soldered joints if your using compression fittings. soldered joints are alot more reliable. Or replace the lot :)

In the meantime you can run plastic pipe and pushfit fittings - but use compression fittings from the copper/plastic - with liners - you can run it all temporary until the supplies are sorted  ie. in front of the kitchen units etc. it don`t need to look pretty ;)
