Leaky hot washing machine valve

Hi,

I've just bought a new washing machine and it only uses cold fill. The old one use to use hot and cold fill. The problem I have is that the hot water valve (that is no longer needed) is leaking.

Is there anyway to just cap it without replacing the valve?

Yes. Ask for a 3/4" brass cap at any plumbers' merchant.

Fit an appliance washer inside it and Robert's yer father's brother.
