My outside tap is leaking from the place in the red circle on the picture when the tap is on. Is this fixable please? Also how do I straighten the whole tap up please?
You can just nip up the gland nut you have circled. That should stop the leak but it will likely come back again as the tap is used. You can wind out the gland nut, get some PTFE tape and twist it into a string, wind it round the spindle then tighten the gland nut back into place. That will probably work for a while. Or you can change the tap. This is the best bet as they are less than a tenner.
Turn off water
Unscrew old tap
Wrap PTFE around threads of new tap. Enough so that it is tight as it screws in
Screw new tap into baseplate and stop when its screwed in almost all the way but is vertical.
Yes - get a roll of gas PTFE tape - 7 turns around the threads counter to the way the tap screws in - so it doesn't unravel when it's tightened, then run your fingers around the tape so it takes the shape of the threads. Then use an adjustable spanner to tighten
