Leaky Shower / Damaged Joist

Hi Group,

Looking for advice.

Long term leaky shower has come home too roost! And after removing shower tray to sort properly noticed damage to joist. Pics attached.

Removed soft rotted wood and chased it to find out how wide spread. Seems localised but as you can see pics show damage.

Was planning a 1 metre joist metal bracket to provide support to damaged joist which is good on either side then use some wood hardener to strengthen the remaining damaged wood.

All thoughts and advice would be appreciated.

In this dry or wet rot?

Not sure I'd even bother given that it's relatively superficial and right next to a wall. Can you take a wider pic to show the context of what it needs to support?

Wider pic added and also the other side

Red arrows are back to back - separated by only plasterboard

Blue arrow shows where the affected joist is directly above.

Clearly been caused by shower leak so suspect wet rot.
