I wish I knew how to load a photo of what I shall now try to explain. Just returned from holiday (water turned off for the 4 weeks - so no leaks via that route) but have signs of a leak down the INSIDE of the kitchen wall next to the window frame. The house was built in 1884 so I need to know if I my walls were built single or double lined. I am hazarding a guess that water is leaking in from a point OVER the window frame on the outside (where there is a horizontal wooden lip positioned over the window - as opposed to an angled lip, which would have ensure that rainwater falls away from the building line) and then follows a route to the inside - is this possible?
There does not appear to be any holes on the oputside brickwork![/img]
