Hi All, we moved into our 1910 victorian house last year, the previous owner had carried out a "diy" repair job on a decade old concrete retaining wall. It looks like they has patched in different types of blocks were needed. Some of them being thermolite!
The wall is abit of an eyesore, bulging and leaning, isnt built on any type of base and guessing as the work was done a 100 years ago has no drainage.
I am planning to knock down the wall, steps and rebuild - i would like some ideas as to type of wall to put in place. Our garden is on quite a big slope so the wall would need to be strong. I would like to move the wall back so its not so close to the back of the house too.
im guessing it will be alot of material / soil to get rid of, we are also on heavy clay here.
some pictures attached.
