I am about to clear out my late Mother in Laws' house in Scotland and will then be leaving it empty and unattended until next Spring when it will be put on the market. All electrics will be isolated so there will be no central heating. What should I do with respect to the water and central heating systems over this period, e.g. what should I be draining down etc?

Drain down the heating and the hot and cold. Or leave the heating on low so the temp doesnt drop too low.

For the money itd cost, Id leave it switched on but low.

the house insurance will probably require you to spend at least one day a month living there worth checking before you make your final choice
