I have a combi Sime Format 80C boiler. Whilst away for 2 weeks I would like to leave the heating on low but turning off my mains water supply and drain the water pipes by turnuing on the taps. Is it safe to do this?
Yep, leave the heating on, turn the water off and release residual pressure by opening a cold tap. All you can do, really - but have the heating coming on just before dawn and late in the evening if you need to rely on a timer.
