do they make left handed guitars? or are they just normal guitars hung the oposite way?

are they strung different? with the thin strings still on top?

if they are strung different, are there "learn guitar" books for lefties too? with the finger placements shown different?

do they make other left handed instruments? such as tubas, trumpets, trombones etc?

Although i'm left handed myself, I chose to play right handed.

I'll never be Jimi Hendrix, but I can play a decent tune!

If you're going to start playing, I advise buying at least 200 plectrums. That way it will be at least a week before you lose them all, trust me they are worse than socks for going missing

I play the acoustic right handed and the bass left handed.

Watch Mr Hendrix...... he seemed to manage playing a right handed guitar

Paul McCartney a left handed bass player, my least favorite Beatle and I always thought the less talented (part from Ringo!) but I guess I was proved wrong
I used to play and I was /am a lefty but never any good.

Talking of left-handed and music, did you know Russ Andrews sells left-handed speakers?

They use reverse polarity to improve clarity and bass reproduction. I've tried them, but I can't hear any difference.

Audiophiles have been arguing over this one for decades, along with the need for gold plated connectors and oxygen-free copper wires.   Everybody agrees that two (or more) speakers must be correctly phased or they will sound terrible but does it really matter if you reverse the polarity of both (all)?

There is a plausible argument that a bass drum will not come out correctly if the initial cone movement is in the wrong direction. So I tried it. I connected all four speakers the other way round (no need to pay for 'left-handed' ones) and guess what; I couldn't tell the difference either! :( :( :(

Yep tried the same thing myself reversed the speaker polarity whilst listening to a U2 track and couldnt tell the difference, it was still carp.

Connecting the speakers reverse polarity is not a good idea, this assumes that the cone has equal movement in both directions, which may not be the case.
Pushing the sound backwards into the cabinet, also means that the sound is forced out of the enclosure through the equalising vents, it must reduce its effectiveness.
