I think I had sealed the lid improperly, allowing some of the solvent to escape... No smell though and happened in less than a week..
But when I went to open my nice, expensive Crown Trade Gloss today, it had a sort of soft skin on the top, and around the edge of the main body of paint.
I'm a tad annoyed as I have been using it for less than 4 weeks, and had the lid quite tight - thankfully, my main job has finished, but the rest of the tin is now wasted - Garage door and eaves will now have to wait because I'm not buying more.
So as I was finishing the 2nd coat of the last 7 balustrades, the paint in the tin was skinning up between dipping my brush in! I had to use a spare brush to keep dragging the newly formed skin out before loading my brush
