Apparently he used to be a gardener and sustained the damage in a freak lawnmower accident. Shame it wasn't his neck though.

I heard he is going to escape from jail using one of them gliding ropes like in The Krypton Factor assault course and use his hook to slide down it. Then land in a big pile of mud.

I'm actually wondering if he'll be allowed to keep his hook whilst in prison - all dangerous items are confiscated

I couldn't agree more but it would be hilarious if the prison service DID confiscate his hook. I hope he now reflects on his rantings and learns some compassion for his fellow man.
