Level out a mantel

Hello all,

I need to level out a mantel. What is the best way to fill this gap (shown in pic) the left hand side needs to be raised by 10mm.
Thanks in advance. I have also posted a pic of the whole fire to give more context.

Use thin stripwood or plastic shims/packers (available from SF)
