I have just ordered a shed to sit on top of an old slab, the old slab was the base of a larger wooden building which was demolished a couple of years ago. The slab is in very good condition.
The slab area is approx 6 x 5.8 meters. it has a slight slope towards the center (was stable when first built)
The new shed is 3.6 x 2.4m I want it to sit on one half of the existing slab and I need to level an area for the shed.
I was thinking of just using some wood to outline the shed footprint and then pouring a fairly liquid mix into it an hoping it would self level but I don't know if this would work. I am a bit worried that a mix thin enough to self level may not be strong enough.
Any ideas, in particular:
1 - Should the level bit exactly match the size of the shed or should it be a little bit larger?
2 - What sort of mix should I use?
3 - Any better ideas of how to do this?
