I've got an uneven concrete floor about 40m^2 that needs to be smoothed and coated with either eppoxy/resin screed/paint.
A lot (but not all) of the floor has bumps and ridges of up to about 5mm resulting from a coarse aggregate and tamping.
About half of the floor has some sort of paint on it. It's not particularly flakey, but has been worn back to the concrete in some areas and on high spots.
If I hire a grinder (and dust extraction) ...
1. How long would it take to grind the floor so it only needs epoxy floor paint?
2. What volume of dust is likely to be generated and how do you dispose of it?
Are there any self leveling epoxy/resin compounds that could be used?
The products I've found online that call themselves high build can't be laid much more than 2mm thick.
Or, any idea on what I should budget to get a specialist flooring company to take on the job?
