Levelling a floorboarded floor

Hi

I read the reply posted before about using plywood over a floor and then pouring a self-leveeling screed over but the product recommended can only be used to a thickness of 10mm and I have a floor that has quite a run on it (probably about an inch difference in level). So how can I tackle this?
