Levelling a wooden floor

I intend to put my fridge-freezer in an alcove in the kitchen. However, the floor runs from side to side and as a result the fridge rocks when you open the door etc. This means that i need to level the floor before tiling... the height difference is about 10mm over 1m so using more tile adhesive to level can't be the best option.

It is only a small area and i'd appreciate any ideas...

How would I stop it going down cracks in the floorboards/skirting board gaps? Just make it thick?

yes do it thick enough to trowel and then it will level itself when left.
or lay batten etc. down to contain the mixture
