Hello, my first post here
I can feel in the bedroom the floor is slightly uneven. Upon inspection I can see there appears to be a double joist where the chipboard's meet (there are gaps, so I can see a fair bit)
It looks like one one the joists is about 2mm lower than the other resulting is a noticeable lip where the boards meet. I can also feel it when I walk over the area. It is also not helped by a tongue edge next to a flat edge which has started to break away.
I wondered about using some sort of levelling compound, but they seem to be mostly for concrete floors. It's only a small area, I don't wish to plywood the whole floor first. Is there something suitable for chipboard where a small section is 2mm lower than the rest of floor?
Thanks
Adam
