levelling concrete floor - laying solid wood floor

Have just bought a new house and the living room floor is very uneven concrete and i want to put solid wood flooring down. I cant raise the flooring any higher what do i need to do? I have heard a von-arx machine mentioned is this easy to use? what processes do i need to use? any help much appreciated.
