Hiya there,
I know there are alot if questions about this but I think I've got a new one...
I'm planning to lay solid oak T+G boards downstairs (2 rooms knocked into one) Roughly 30 sq meters in total, both with concrete subfloors. The problem I have is that one room is significantly lower than the other, around 15 mm which it slopes rather steeply too over about 300mm. I presume the subfloors were poured before the wall was removed? Is this too extreme use a self leveling compound? My alternate plan was to lay a DPM around the whole room, then lay ply boards in the lower half of the room, and stick the floor down using self adhesive underlay. Does this sound like an option? If so how would I secure the ply?
All advice welcome! Please let me know if this is a crazy plan and i've overlooked a more obvious route....
Cheers,
Simon
