Mark Hunter becomes the new MP for Cheadle, with a majority of 3657.
Might I add that the Tories fought a dirty campaign, quoting fictitious headlines from a local paper that never appeared, and posting a leaflet showing a newspaper headline about a rape with a line underneath saying something like: Mark Hunter's Crime Record.
Disgusting.
The Con's whole attack was based on the fact that Mark "is an unpopular outsider".
From the way they were talking, you'd think he lived in the smoke. No, he lives 5 miles from my house, in Marple.
All I can say is I'm glad the Tories failed.
