Hi,

Did anyone buy these lights?

//www.diynot.com/network/Dummy/albums/

I cannot remember if I got them in Aldi or Lidl. But 2 were broken a while ago and I have searched everywhere looking for a model / model without any joy.

Can anyone advise me of any details they may have on these lights as I want to replace the broken ones please.

Regards,

D

Mods, apologies if I have placed this in the wrong forum.

the trouble with places like like lidl are that they buy in stuff as a one off, so when its gone its gone for ever

Rocky - thank you again.

Breezer - I am trying to remain positive about this. I don't want to replace the other 10 lights !!

i never said you were not being posative, i merely pointed out wha the likes of lidl do.

think about it. i want some lights, I know i will go to b & q, homebase, i may even try wickes, never think to go to lidl they just sell stuff as a one off. (not counting lecy wholesalers in places to go)

have a good look inside usually there is a small sticker somewhere, if they are italian they have an "art No " somewhere.

In what way are they broken?
What type of lights are they?

Hi Plugwash,

The poles of 2 of the lights were bent over (almost at a right angle). Cattle got into the garden and did the damage (and also ate my new escalonia hedge).

These have screw-in energy saver bulbs in them. (the lights & not the cows)

33rocky333 - I work away from home during the week but I'll be home at the weekend. I'll have a look for an Art No then.

Thank you everyone for the replies.

you say 2 are broke, and you don't want to replace all 10, can i ask exactly why you would need to replace all 10 if only 2 are broke. Surely it don't matter if they are very slighty different.

so they all look the same.

trouble is if as said they are bent, and knowing they came from lidl that implies they are plastic

Anything for a peaceful life but I'll ask my wife & mother-in-law why we shouldn't have 2 odd lights in a line of 10 lights.

As for being made out of plastic - don't think so. Have you ever seen a cow? It's generally advisable to get out of the way if a herd of fully grown heifers are running towards you. They're kinda big and carry a fair bit of weight. A bollard light stands no chance.
