hi everyone,

i have just moved into my new house and i am currently routing some cables for the alarm system. i have lifted the carpet on the landing and the boards underneath are not t&g but mdf slabs (i think) or maybe chipboard.
anyway, i need to lift them to route the wiring, so what is the best way to make a start on them and lift them without breaking them?

Can you not hide the wire under the carpet round the edge near the carpet gripper?
