Lifting of tiles near valley... Is that OK?

Hi,

I was wondering if the way in which these tiles are sitting can be considered normal / OK? It is a house we have lived in for a year and I am certainly not a roof expert but I would expect them to lay flat.

I know the bottom couple of courses of the valley needs re-pointing and it's on the to do list. I have a builder coming over to do this in the next few weeks.

Valley is kinked at the bottom depending on preference notch the fascia or cut a few inches before it meets the fascia and chuck a saddle in there a 500lx450w code 4
I prefer saddles only because it doesn't bother the existing gutterline

Thanks... Is this more of a cosmetic thing rather than a potential for water ingress?

Both I'm afraid. it's obstructing the true run of the valley but I suppose if it's not broke don't fix....
The existing mortar at the eaves has already failed so it's more a question of when rather than if it needs replacing

Here you have two solutions both correct. We usually opt to notch fascias for looks, others fit a saddle. Both are solutions to this just choose one or the other
