i put 2 30w led floods on the drive and its too much - loads of glare. Apart from buying new lights is there anything i can do - diffuser or some film applied. Im not sure how hot the glass gets on the front never checked.

The LED lamps do not get hot, they dissipate very little heat. There are film coatings available that can be placed over the lens, that act as diffusers.

have you got a link at all? Did find a film that can be used for camera lighting if that's what you mean. Thanks

Or just a mist coat of regular white paint sprayed on?

Is the glass removeable so that you could try that? The paint would clean off glass quite easily if it didn't work well, or you needed to try more than once to get it right.

small sheets of corrogated glass or other glass with a deeply embossed pattern should break up the light into a less glaring appearance. You might get them, as offcuts from a local glass supplier.

Or could you turn the lamps to shine on an area of wall or fencing that you paint white to get reflected and very diffuse light.

Or acrylic.

Window glass is likely to be too thick.
