I have been replacing the low voltage lights that were in my house with the ones that do not require a transformer. Reason being that the transformer ones often flickered and in certain instances went out.

I changed several succesfully a year or so ago and came to do the last four yesterday. Connected up three and fourth had a junction box and foolishly I did not map out connections inside box before disconnecting.

Looked on this website and others and set box up accordingly i.e. switch black to bulb live, three reds joined together, two blacks connected with neutral to bulb and three earths connected.

Problem is that one light remains on with other three off and switch ineffective.

I recall two of the live reds were connected seperately from a third red. Have therefore swapped reds and managed to get one light on which is operated by switch, but other three remain off.

Is there some other way that the electrician who wired the lights might have set these four up?

Any ideas/help would be welcome.
