Evening all,

I currently have a one gang light switch operating an external light. In theory would it be possible to turn this into a two gang, and use this to separately power some downlights in a new media wall which will coincidentally be right next to this switch once built. I have posted the current wiring set up here. I appreciate any advice or tips please!

As there appears to be neutrals and permanent live ,and of course earth conductors ,all present ,then yes you can do as you suggest.
Testing would confirm this.

Cool thanks chaps. So if I can channel in a new 1.5mm cable into the back box, is this a DIY job to wire in?

It can be ,if you know what to do. What wires connect where , understand what a safe zone is, can do some testing, for starters.

and 1.0mm² T&E cable will be plenty big enough, assuming the power comes from a (6amp) lighting circuit

Thanks for the useful suggestions. Has anyone got any recommendations for a decent LED Driver kit/system?
I need to power about 10m of LED strip in total (but 6 separate sections). RGB preferred. Any ideas or experiences welcome!
