Hi,

I run out of knowledge almost immediately when it comes to electrics, but I've managed to muddle my way through rewiring lights in the past.

I've just taken an old light fitting off which has three feeds into it. One of the neutrals was isolated from the others.

I've tried wiring it up in a similar fashion with the new light, but whatever I do, the light stays on irrespective of whether the light switch is turned on or off.

Would anyone have any advice on what I'm doing wrong please?

Thanks for any help.

Tom

The black wire with red tape connects to the brown of the flex, it's the switch wire.

The two remaining blacks connect to the blue of the flex, they are the neutrals.

The three reds connect together but not to the flex, they are lives.
