I am in the process of extending my lounge and the lighting wiring is not as i would have imagined.
As the moment I have one light being controlled from a 2 gang switch the other gang controlling the kitchen next door. I have taken down the ceiling as we are looking to fit 8 flush fitting dimmer lights instead.
The wire going to the existing rose is 2 core red + earth. Also it has a single feed from the switch. So three wires in total. The wire from the switch appears to be the live one and gets feed from the kitchen light circuit.
Does this sound right and if so will it be a problem to connect 4 banks of two lights from this using junction boxes off this 2 core wire with 4 single core cables going down to a 4 gang switch to get the live feed.
