My daughter has one of those plastic sheds with no windows and no power ,its about 8x6 ft Could you tell me the best options i thought of a solar light, and battery lights Any advise to make my mind up

Lidl had some solar lights in store , get them with remote solar panels so you can choose the best position to catch sunlight . They are sensor switched so mount just above door which will switch them on as soon as you put your head inside.

Thanks for that. How long can they stay on when she is inside for a couple of minutes Would they light the inside for her

"OneBeyond", if there's a branch nearby, also seem to 'specialise' in solar lights, at negligible price ;)

That certainly would be the ideal, but most of them, certainly the cheap ones, tend to come with 'integral' panels, being designed for outdoor use.

If i get one of these can i configure to keep the light on for 5/10 minutes
Depends on the light. Most ones with a motion sensor have adjustable time.
Just Google "solar shed light with motion sensor". There are lots out there.
Amazon have several.

I don't bother with solar lamps much. In winter there is not enough sun.

You can get camping lanterns and movement lights that run on AA batteries, very cheap in summer when Aldi and Lidl are feeding the festival market. My batteries last a couple of years.

Maybe have one or two movement lights inside and outside the door, and manual lanterns otherwise.

That's what I thought but I saw one on offer at Lidl and it's been fine. It turns out that the amount of time I spend in the shed is correlated with how long the days are, so less light in winter is not the problem I thought it was going to be.
