Hello all
Does anyone have a idea of how to light this area. It's the under stairs in a victorian terrace, currently I have a light bulb but I don't want to put a few in. Can anyone recommend a LED strip or something that can be used ?

I have no idea what this area is called as its not a full cellar.

Cheers all

For safety reasons you need one at the top and one at the bottom of the stairs. Best with a 2 way switch at top and bottom level, so when the little darling turn the upper switch and shut the door, you can throw the bottom switch to counter the foolery.

Id waste little money and simply go with baton fittings and es bulbs

£3 each.

You can get offset angled ones, which on the side wall or above the door (if room) may give a more approriate beam

I would not use a bare battenholder as there's too much risk of knocking the bulb or something falling against it.

A basic bulkhead fitting with a 9 watt CFL should be more than adequate.
