Hi, I am installing a new plasterboard ceiling with a 5kg/m2 soundproof membrane. I would like to install a first layer of intermediate lightweight ceiling under the joists. I just want to create a surface on which I can I can properly glue the soundproof membrane (then will install the proper plasterboard with resilient bars).
I am between 6mm fibreboard (the one used for laminate underlay)

or, 3mm hardboard.

Which will be better for the job?
PS: I also thought to install 9.5 mm plasterboard but then I add too much of additional weight to the ceiling…
