Yesterday I received my long awaited order of window cills, in very light yellow colour "Bath". They are still shrink wrapped on their pallet as they arrived. I noticed that some of them have large white patches, like discolouration, as if their yellow colour had washed away, and was told this is a natural phenomenon called "Lime Bloom". Maybe it is, and yes I have seen the white patches on new houses on the brickwork from time to time. However these cills arrived yesterday, still unopened. "Lime bloom" took place at the yard where they got stored, before they were delivered. Should I try to give them back or should I stick with them and hope the discolouration washes away?
