I need to do some work on these pipes and and thinking of replacing the service valves. The pipework will be around 20years old. I think it's the old grey hep20. What liners would be best. Will obviously be compression with a copper olive going on to the pipe. Thanks.

Do you mean inserts ? only use the ones that the same manu states

Thanks inserts yes. It's all hep2o I think there is no markings on the pipe. But judging by the age and the fact it's grey I know hep20 was then. And I think that was before polypipe brought there own out.

You can tell by the lockring - POLY is knurled/slotted all the way around, HEP had smooth sections. Also HEP had a green plastic grab ring with steel teeth, poly are a SS toothed type washer.

If it's HEP then their new inserts will fit. If it's poly then you'll need theirs.
