If BC inspectors want to be difficult they can make you jump through hoops, as can the Planners if they choose to.
if you play within the rules, then they can not do any such thing.
I make it my business to work up a good rapport with the building professionals I work with on a daily basis. That way I find they are far more likely to bend the rules to help you and a client rather than have to fight them every inch of the way on a daily basis. believe me they can make it very tough if they choose and still stay within the law and LA policies
be nice to people
and they will be nice back in my experience
