Hi can anyone recommend a decent door lintel for an external door other than concrete, idea is to add lintel then another course of stone then timber top plate for small roof, thanks.

Hey woody thanks man will look at that now, is that the hidden type so I can lay a row of bricks on top then the roof top plate?
I added a pic for ref...new door frame on left and new timers 4x2 to join to other side down to stone wall. Not a big roof so not really big weight.
Would that be a 1200mm for a door frame?

If I used a concrete lintel I would needs less stone for last row as lintel would be last row then top plate tho that might look crap.

Yrs its hidden, and 1200 will do a frame size up to 1m wide. But check that the upstand on the back is suitable for the space you have up to the underside of the joists.
