OK this room is outdated and long overdue renovation so this is my project for the next few months, it will need a few ceiling as have quite a few cables to be run by electrician for additional sockets and lighting that will consist of 3 circuits for downlights, 2 chandelier's and coving led strip via a 2 way 3 gang trailing edge dimmer.
The wall I want skimming too as the stud partition wall you can see is being taken out so room can be returned to a large front to back living room.
So onto my question, the chimney breast is being turned into a media wall so that ugly gas fire that is disconnected is going along with the wooden fire place the chimney opening will be plaster boarded on a 3x2 cls frame screwed 12.5 mm in and an air vent fitted
ow, as I am putting a timber frame onto this breast 300mm deep at the bottom and 200mm deep at the top to take a 55" TV and extending too the partition wall so that it will then sit in middle of room with 3.5 meters either side and which will then give the space to build alcoves for my AV Gear.
Do I need to put a vent on this media wall too or is the space within the framework enough, I could put a vent on the 300mm section just above the skirting and paint it to match but if I can get away with it that is the preferred option.
Thank you
