Load bearing wall....or not?

Hello everyone - I recently moved into a new house and am tearing into everything DIY wise.

I want to remove this wall (circled in photos). I don't think it's load bearing, but want to pick people's brains before going any further. It's a stud wall - the rest was potentially all removed in the past (I have no idea), but I find it strange that this 600mm column was left. Also, the end of the wall (end of the 'T' if you like) has two 4x2s back to back (basically a 4" post if you like)

There isn't anything above the wall on the next floor up.

Is it worth me getting someone to come and have a look...or am I missing something completely obvious to prove whether or not it's load bearing?

For the record, this post is for informational purposes only and to gather general opinions. I'm aware that determining if a wall is load-bearing requires professional expertise, and I will ultimately make my own decision on what to do.

Thanks all

If there’s nothing being supported by it it’s not load bearing
Ah...I see...so it wouldn't be supporting joists etc? I work in M&E so my knowledge on structural stuff is quite limited

Unlikely to be load-bearing but the only way to be sure is to see if there are any joist ends bearing on it above, if you look at the floor boards in the room above that will likely tell you at least which direction the joists are.
