I want to knock down the remaining kitchen wall. There is a wooden beam the spans the whole length of the kitchen. am I ok to remove the remaining wall or does the wooden bean need replacing with a steel RSJ?

Thanks in advance for you support :)

You need to expose more of the area above to determine exactly what is being supported

If anything you should be filling in the gaps, not taking out the solids. Unless you intend to replace the roof as well.

Yes highly likely you'll need to install an RSJ.
Consult a structural engineer before you go any further, they will be able to size the beam for you etc. And don't forget to notify the council and get building regs for the work carried out.

On the building regs side of things isn't the whole thing against building regs as the house would now be open to the conservatory. And from looking at the already taken out what looks like a window and some patio doors I would of thought that it already is against build regs ?
Unless the conservatory is coming down and a proper insulated habitable room is to be built in its place.

It looks like there may be patio doors to the right of the conservatory, just a few bricks away, and a nearby door on the other side. So you'd be putting a huge load onto two very narrow pillars of the remaining brick. There are limits, you can't make the back of the building hover in the air.

Get a structural engineer.
