localised squeeling noise when I turn on mixer tap in bathro

Hi,

I get a localised squealing noise when I turn on the mixer tap in the bathroom. The noise gets quieter when I fully turn on the tap but doesn't go altogether. The noise wasn't there before I changed the sink and taps and altered the pipework slightly.

Can you advise what might be the cause and any ideas how to solve the problem.

Anyone got any ideas on this one??
We have the same problem with the cold water on our mixer tap in kitchen...

Suspect it needs a new washer, but I'm no expert!!!

common cause for this washers in the sink tap or mains cold tap which you might have disturbed during plumbing work.
