Hi,
I want to close down some of the radiators in the common areas of a building. There are thermostatic radiator valves that claim to be child proof, tamper proof or lockable, but which can be adjusted by anybody with the correct know-how or common tools. Are there any TRVs (or lockshield valves) that are truly lockable, i.e. they need a key or special tool to be opened or adjusted.
If lockable TRVs aren't available or will be uneconomic, I can fit stop valves on the flow pipes to individual radiators where the piping runs behind panelling. Does anyone have alternative suggestions?
(and before I'm reminded, I won't be closing down the radiator that takes the boilers residual hot water)
Thanks,
DHC.
