Hi All,

I have a really old wooden chest with a hinged lid. I'd like to attach some kind of locking hinge that, once opened, won't fall shut. The intention is for it to be used as my kids toy box so I want to avoid any fingers getting trapped!

Any pointers into what I should be looking for would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

There's a problem here.... the kids WILL try and force the box to close. Believe me, I know! We tried something similar a few years ago. My son snapped the stay when he tried to close the lid! We replaced it. His teenage cousins snapped the new one!!!

One of the slow/soft close ones might be ok but again, kids are kids!!!
