Lockshield valve fitted to return side of rads

Hi,

Does it matter if the lockshield valve is fitted to the return side of a radiator? - I am currently trying to balance my rads and have noticed that a couple of rads have the LSV's fitted to the return side?

Thats the way it should be according to the text books.
In practice it makes no difference.
