Hi,

I've been reading lots of posts on the subject of loft boarding and have a few questions...

I live in a modern detached house built in 1998, the roof is the modern truss variety and the rafters are ~7cm deep.

It seems that I should only use the loft for light storage! I was hoping to make a good storage area and it looks like if I want to make it safe, I will need to have some form of beams.

So to know whether this is feasible, can someone let me know what this involves and also a very rough idea of cost?

Thanks

What exactly are you intending to store? Building supplies? Car Parts? 10000 books?

A few sacks of winter clothes and some gym equipment that you bought from ebay but never used wont kill the loft
