We've recently moved into a new house, which had a new roof fitted at the end of December.
I happened to stick my head up the attic at the weekend and discovered a fair amount of water droplets all over the underside of the OSB sarking.
Its concentrated around either end of the roof directly above the soffits, but there was an area near the loft hatch where the droplets covered a few square meters of the timber.
I'm assuming condensation rather than a leak given how widespread it is?
There doesnt appear to be much in the way of soffit ventillation, the rules appear to require a minimum 10mm slot the full width of the roof, or equivalent area?
The roofer was out today, inspected the roof and has said he needs to come back and fit tile vents, but i just get a bit of a bad feeling about that. Surely the soffit ventillation is an absolute must?
