Hoping someone here will be able to give me some advice? 
My girlfriend and I are looking to purchase our first house, and have seen one we quite like, but would want to convert the loft.
The loft has wooden beams that seem to support the roof and slant inwards from the roof to the floor in the centre of the house.
Is it possible (and if so likely how expensive) to remove these beams and secure the roof structure somehow else?
